The expo consists of exhibitors, providing information about hiking opportunities and trails, hiking groups, hiking tours & travel, walking destinations, outdoor gear, and hiking maps. See Who’s There.
There are guided hikes ranging from 45 mins to 3 hours, including child-friendly options. Guided Hikes depart the expo site every 15 minutes from 9.15 am to 12.15 pm. View the Guided Hikes.
The hiking expo is a 45-60 min drive from Perth by car.
There is limited car parking available in multiple car parks around the expo site, so we encourage car pooling, parking in the satellite parking locations such as in Fred Jacoby Reserve, and use of the special Expo shuttle bus service running throughout the duration of the event from 9.00am – 2.00pm. If you park in one of the various satellite parking areas and prefer not to wait for the shuttle bus to come by, the maximum walk from a carpark to the event will be about 1km.
See Getting There for more details on Driving, Parking and Park-and-Ride, including maps.
Three vans will be offering a range of food and drinks.
Drinks: eg coffees; tea, hot choc, healthy smoothies, iced drinks, soft drinks, juices, water.
Food (including snacks): eg hamburgers, sausage sizzle, bacon & eggs muffins, chips, soup, chili, muffins, banana bread, protein bars, cookies.
You can secure a place on a specific guided hike by registering online for $5 per person from mid-March 2021, or just arrive on the day and choose an available guided hike to join.
Places are limited, so best to book early online to avoid disappointment!
$5 per person or $10 per family (up to 3 children with 1-2 adults). See Guided Hikes for more info.
If you are planning to participate in a Guided Hike you will need to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your experience on one of the guided hikes, by being suitably equipped:
As the Expo is being held in a national park and in a drinking water catchment, no dogs or other pets are permitted at the event venue, nor on any of the Expo walks.
